What to expect from your free session at Portside PT

When you arrive for your first session, you’ll be greeted by your trainer before sitting down for a 15-20 minute consultation.

During this time we’ll discuss your goals, fitness levels and injuries as well as the things holding you back from reaching your goals.

We’ll try to look into some of the reasons you want to reach these goals and start to build a picture of what you want to get out of the sessions in general.

Once we’ve gained a better understanding of what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it, we’ll take you through a short workout to show you the types of exercises that will make up your personalised programme.

We’ll also use this opportunity to explore new exercises you might enjoy without doing any of the things you hate!

So if you hate burpees, you’ll be pleased to hear you never have to do one with us!

Once we’ve finished the workout we’ll discuss the different packages and recommend the right options for you to reach your goals.

You’ll be able to book your sessions for the coming weeks and you’ll be ready to start your journey with us at Portside!

You'll Get All This, For Free...

One Session With An Expert Coach

You'll spend one hour training with one of our expert coaches so that we can assess your current level of overall fitness. This session will be beginner friendly, and can be adapted if you already have some training experience. It will push you, but it won't break you.

Health Assessment & Goal Setting Session

You'll also spend time going through a Health Assessment & Goal Setting session with us. Don't worry, this is a seated activity. The goal here is to construct a clear and sustainable action plan to help you achieve your goals, whether you choose to work with us or not.

Portside Recipe Pack & Nutrition Guide

As soon as you register for your free session and health assessment (by filling the form on this page) we will also send you a copy of the Portside Recipe Pack & Nutrition Guide. You can keep and use this for free, even if you decide not to join us as a client later.

Where are you located?

You can find us on the Hove end of Shoreham Port, overlooking the water, in Hove Enterprise Centre. This is just a 10 minute walk from Portslade train station and a 10 minute drive from Hove train station. If you drive, we have free parking available.

What are you opening times?

We are open from 6am to 9pm from Monday to Thursday, 6am to 8pm on Fridays and then 7:30am to 2pm on weekends.

How will I know that you can help me?

Every single one of our clients started out with a free session and consultation with one of our coaches. Before you even sign up, you'll have a clear 'plan of action' that is specifically tailored to you and your goals. We don't believe in one size fits all programs, which is why we see such a high success rate with our clients.

How do I get started?

Don't worry about making any big commitments. Even if you're not certain about personal training, but you know that you want help with your fitness, fill out the form on this page and we'll arrange a time for you to visit us in person.
